Health is one of those things that a lot of us take for granted. We assume we're entitled to it, and therefore don't give it much thought - until something goes wrong. Then we see that health is not only one of the best things in life, but that it's perhaps the most important thing in life. Good health is the direct result of food and lifestyle choices that we make on a daily basis, and is for the most part, a completely controllable element in our lives.
If you follow the Dietitian in the Kitchen (DITK) Guidelines, you'll adopt the DITK "non-dieting" approach to eating that I endorse. To all of my patients and customers delight, it's one that doesn't rely heavily on weighing or measuring ingredients, or even dissecting food labels.
Even if you don't have a medical or weight problem, all of us should be eating to avoid these potential problems at all times. Regardless of whether we already have them, are looking to reverse them, or whether we're just trying to prevent them in the first place, if you eat whole natural foods, you don't have to fear any foods anymore.
That's what healthy eating is, and that's where my DITK website will lead you. Welcome!
